Super Bowl 43 is less than a month away as Tampa Bay Florida gears up to host the nations largest sporting event. As usual there will be spectacular events taking place from the beach to the bay, but with hard economic times will this Super Bowl prove to be less exciting?

To answer that question we did some investigating and found out today that the Playboy Super Bowl party has been cancelled, one of the most attended Super Bowl events was cancelled do to hard econmic times. The Playboy Super Bowl party has competed with Maxim for top Super Bowl billing in recent years and will not be thrown in Tampa. However, Playboy will still be participating in some Super Bowl events including the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl event.

The Celebrity Beach Bowl is scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Progress Energy Park in St. Petersburg.
