Lisa Perry- Controversial, Beautiful, and all Around Great PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ezekiel Zane
Sunday, 26 August 2007

I recently had the wonderful pleasure to interview the amazing Lisa Perry. Lisa Perry started modeling young and is still going strong. One of her most recent modeling events was Sturgis the big motorcycle show out in South Dakota. Last week the Hard Rock Casino Girl, Lisa Perry, was there on behalf on Hard Rock Casino and got to be the MC of the show and meet all of the different and famous designers and builders. The event had motorcycles in it from different celebrities like James Con (Las Vegas), Matthew McConaughey (Two For the Money), Billy Joe Armstrong, (Green Day), and many others. The designers included the crew from the OC, Eddie Trotter, Lisa's favorite, the Exile Boys, and many more. Lisa said that, "I didn't know anything about bikes when I got there, but I left Sturgis with so much knowledge.  They all welcomed me with open arms. They're great people!"

For five years (2002-2006) Lisa Perry was a cheerleader for the Indianapolis Colts. One time she modeling at a local event in Dayton and saw a girl on the runway doing some really nice dance moves, and she went over to this girl and asked her if she was a dancer the girl said yes and then went on to say that she was a cheerleader for the Colts and that Lisa should try out. She did and to her surprise she got a spot on the team. For the next five years she commuted back and forth from Dayton to Indianapolis. During this time she said she got to become close with her fellow cheerleaders and become what she said to be her, "second family". Although she loved it and put up with the $50 a game, she did say that the Colts were very conservative with their cheerleaders being in the media. "The Colts owned you, if you wanted to be on a game show, or in a magazine like FHM, or anything like that, you had to go through them (Colts Organization) first, but in any case, they made it strictly Football".  Lisa had repeatedly received offers from Playboy Magazine to do a spread, but she kept holding out waiting for the Colts to win a Super Bowl, because she knew that when she did a spread in Playboy, she would probably be kicked off of the squad. Finally Lisa decided to do the pictures for Playboy. She went out to Chicago (which is actually the center of operations for Playboy) and took the pictures for the December 2005 Christmas issue (largest issue of the year). Then sure enough she was removed from the team like she thought she would be. She said, "In the end I had no regrets. It was fun while it lasted".

As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, Lisa Perry appeared in the Christmas 2005 issue of Playboy. She said, "Playboy treated me like royalty! As soon as I got off of the plane they had someone there to pick me up and when I was there I got what ever I wanted and overall,l it was a great experience!" She did say that it was a little weird though because you had to change right there in front of everyone, but after a while she got used to it. She was photographed for eight hours with only one break to eat, "They were really all about business." One of the things she liked the most about it was the fact of knowing that each day Playboy gets thousands of submissions and she had the honor of appearing in the magazine. You really only get to be on the magazine if there is something that really sticks out about you, and for Lisa Perry she thinks it was the fact that she was a Colts Cheerleader. After doing the shoot there was a lot of controversy surrounding her and the Colts, but she liked it, she liked the fact that there was local gossip and talk of it on ESPN and on the news. If she had the chance she said she would do it again.

Lisa got started very early in modeling she was five years old to be exact. Her mom got her into by doing different little things around Dayton and little modeling events at the town court house. She said back then she hated it, she could not stand to it. She was on the Uncle Al show, which was a local kid's show in Dayton, she never liked to smile when forced. She recollected of one time when she was about five or six, and she was doing an event outside the court house and instead of turning around when she got to the end of the make-shift runway, she kept on walking to a bus stop! From there on out she was doing those little home town modeling events about every two years. Then when she was in the fourth grade she started cheerleading, and kept with all the way through twelfth grade, and then in college she chose not to do it anymore. After college she was doing different modeling gigs, and other things like that. She even owned her own salon, SOL (Salon Of Lisa)  until just a month ago due to all of her traveling.

Recently she was out in Chicago for Glamourcon, for her appearance in a comic book. She is appearing in The Red Sky comic as a Vampire Slayer. She always had a likeness for comics.   Through a few back and forth emails, they said she fit the character and wanted to make a sketch of her. She was out at Glamourcon on behalf of The Red Sky comic book.

Currently she is getting ready to go out to LA this Friday, the 17th, to the Playboy Mansion for a charity event Saturday night for Breast Cancer, then she is also going to be doing three photo shoots, one for the fashion line O'Neil, one, one at the Playboy Mansion, and one for photographer a photographer who is going to be publishing the shots in a Fitness Magazine. In October she is going to be in Myrtle Beach and Daytona for another motorcycle event just like Sturgis, she is even going to be the MC of it too!

Please follow Lisa Perry's career, because she is really going places, and you can do this by checking out her My space page ( myspace.com/MissLisaPerry), and you can even see what events are coming up. Lisa keep up the great work!
